AD IT UP is a curriculum framework for teaching media literacy. Media literacy is an expanded information and communication skill that is responsive to the changing nature of information in our society. It addresses the skills students need to be taught in school to develop the competencies to evaluate the information presented to us by the media. This curriculum framework could be used to analyze smoking advertisements, alcohol advertisements or food advertisements.
