The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) is responsible for protecting, managing, and licensing UC San Diego’s intellectual property, including inventions in the biomedical, life science, and physical sciences sectors, copyright-protected materials such as software and images, and tangible research materials such as reagents and cell lines. As a campus resource, TTO provides valuable services to facilitate the transfer of innovations to commercial markets, and potentially generate revenue for further research at the university.
